Resting in the historic West End of Dallas, is the Purse Building. Sitting empty for the past two decades, the building is now being restored to it’s former glory by Wildcat Management. While creating large retail and office spaces aimed towards young creative and tech companies, I was hired to create a logo and brand system that reflected the building’s history while using modern design trends appealing to young professionals. After creating several comps, we arrived at a solution that showcased the building’s former architectural identity in a mono-line illustration. The typeface was a fine balance between the past and present, while contrasting well against the logo. The logo needed to be versatile as it will have a wide range of applications.
